• F55 — maximum drying time exceeded. Usually moisture-sensor bars coated with fabric-softener film, an oversized load, or a washer that under-spun. We test the sensing circuit, not just wipe the bars.
• Long dry times with no code: condensate drain path, blocked plinth filter, or refrigerant-circuit performance loss — we measure it instead of guessing.
• Drum bearings, felt seals, belts and door switches on high-mileage units.

FAQ

F66 keeps coming back after I clean the filters. Why?

Because the blockage is downstream, in the heat exchanger fins where a household vacuum can’t reach. That layer needs disassembly-level cleaning.

My clothes come out damp and it says F55.

Wash a normal load at 1200+ RPM spin, wipe the two metal sensor bars in the drum, retry. If F55 persists on a small load, book service — the sensing circuit needs testing.

Is the heat-pump circuit repairable or is a fault terminal?

Repairable. We’re EPA §608 certified for sealed systems. Many “compressor is dead, buy a new dryer” verdicts from non-authorized shops turn out to be airflow or sensor issues.
