Miele W1 Washer F63: Water-Path Control Fault

F63 flags the unit that routes water inside the machine — between detergent-drawer compartments, drum spray, and (on equipped models) recirculation. When its position feedback goes implausible, the control stops trusting where water will land and aborts with F63.

Symptoms that go with it

Detergent left sitting in the drawer, softener taken at the wrong time or not at all, weak or absent drum spray on models with it — then the F63 code as the control gives up. Sometimes the only symptom is the code at cycle start.

Is there an owner move?

One: power down at the breaker for ten minutes and retry — a single F63 after a power event can be a latched glitch. And one more that costs nothing: clean the detergent drawer and its housing thoroughly.
